Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) combines the therapeutic potential of ketamine with expert guidance to alleviate symptoms of various mental health conditions. This program offers a unique and transformative experience, providing new avenues for healing.
What is Ketamine Assisted Therapy?
Ketamine Assisted Therapy is a groundbreaking treatment modality that utilizes the dissociative properties of ketamine to enhance the therapeutic process. Ketamine is an FDA-approved anesthetic medication that, when administered in a controlled setting, can facilitate profound shifts in consciousness and promote therapeutic breakthroughs. I guide individuals through this process, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
The Benefits of Ketamine Assisted Therapy:
1. Rapid Relief from Treatment-Resistant Conditions: Ketamine has shown remarkable effectiveness in providing rapid relief for individuals with treatment-resistant mental health conditions, such as major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It offers an alternative for those who have not responded well to traditional treatments.
2. Enhanced Access to Deep Emotional States: Ketamine can induce altered states of consciousness that allow individuals to explore their inner landscape and access deep emotional states. This heightened emotional awareness can facilitate breakthroughs, promote emotional healing, and provide insights into the root causes of psychological distress.
3. Neuroplasticity and Brain Connectivity: Ketamine has been found to promote neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new connections and rewire itself. This can facilitate the creation of new neural pathways, potentially leading to long-lasting improvements in mood, cognition, and overall mental well-being.
4. Holistic Healing and Integration: Ketamine Assisted Therapy provides an opportunity for individuals to gain insights, process emotions, and integrate their experiences into their lives. Our skilled therapists offer a holistic approach, combining ketamine-assisted sessions with supportive therapy, helping individuals develop coping strategies and promote long-term healing.

Is it safe?
Ketamine has been extensively studied and has demonstrated a strong safety profile when administered correctly. Ketamine is an FDA-approved medication with a long history of safe use as an anesthetic. In therapeutic settings, ketamine is administered in sub-anesthetic doses and carefully monitored by trained professionals to minimize potential risks. Side effects, which are typically temporary, can include mild dissociation, changes in perception, and nausea. Severe adverse reactions are rare, particularly when appropriate screening and medical supervision are in place.
Why Ketamine Assisted Therapy?
There are clinics that will offer a series of Ketamine infusions without psychotherapy. There is certainly a place for this, especially for people with severe treatment resistant depression or acute suicidality. For such acute cases, there is a benefit to immediate high doses. However, for most people, Ketamine is a first step on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. To get the most out of this process, we need to be able to fully let go and surrender to the medicine and the process overall. To fully surrender we need to feel safe. My first and primary objective in therapy is to establish safety. We cannot heal if we do not feel safe. I work hard to create and provide a place where people can feel emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe. The journey to the heart can be winding and often confusing, but ultimately we all long to re-discover the qualities of joy and love and deep connection. My mission is to provide the safety to find and trust our inner healing wisdom, so that we may all face our fear. open our hearts, and live in this world in a more purposeful, intentional, and loving way. Now do not mistake my open heartedness and commitment to kindness for weakness or cowardice. To look at oneself honestly, with eyes wide open, requires tremendous courage and commitment. When we are in a place of love, acceptance, and connection it empowers us to set healthier boundaries and respond to hate and greed and perpetration with greater resolve, flexibility, and discernment. And when we are able to approach conflict from a place of centeredness and integrity, it will often help our partner or colleague, or a family member, to soften or drop their defensiveness even just a little bit and maybe that will be the window or the opportunity to reestablish or find new connection. And hopefully as more of us do this work, we can make the world a better place.--
